~Dyspnea Dreaming~

Wednesday 25 June 2014
Dyspnea, one of my favourite Australian labels, launched their new online store today... and I can't wait to get some lovely garments from them for my wardrobe!
Currently on the top of my wishlist is one of their FLUFFTART tops:

Have you ever seen so much fluffy AND crystal-embellished goodness in one garment?? Crystal embellishments and fluff... it truly is a match made in heaven.

The FLUFFTART tops are available in pink, purple, or red, and at $89 for a handmade-in-Australia garment they are very reasonably priced!
Check them and many more wonderful Dyspnea creations out at http://shop.dyspnea.com.au

What I Wore Today: 24th June '14

Tuesday 24 June 2014

Headpiece: Chromat (chromatgarments.com)
Top: Lazy Oaf (lazyoaf.com)
Cardigan: (thrifted)
Jeans: Wrangler (available at generalpants.com.au)
Shoes: YRU (www.y-r-u.com)

Yesterday I had some online shopping arrive, and I'm absolutely in love with my new purchases! Three of which I am wearing today - a new top, headpiece, and pair of shoes.

I am super happy to finally own a garment from the Lazy Oaf X Garfield collection - I loved Garfield growing up (the plush Garfield that I'm holding is one that was my mums childhood toy, that she then gave to me when I was little), so it's nice to carry that childhood love on into adulthood!

An Assignment Photoshoot...

Saturday 14 June 2014
Today I had the pleasure of styling and photographing my lovely friend Dev (@speakofthe_devil) for a university assignment. The assignment involved choosing a 'trend' and then styling and carrying out a photoshoot based around it (after thorough research and planning of course!). The best images of these are then edited and compiled into an editorial spread. For my trend I chose to combine influences from punk and skinhead fashion with Lolita living doll fashion... I love playing around with opposites and seeing how they can be combined!

We had some photos taken in a studio with a professional photographer a few weeks ago, however I planned on taking majority of the photos for my editorial out and about, which Dev and I did today... Here are some of the resulting images! Any feedback is welcome :)

What I Wore Today: 11th June '14

Wednesday 11 June 2014

Hat: ASOS (www.asos.com.au)
Top: Thrifted
Jeans: Wrangler (available at generalpants.com.au)
Jacket: Thrifted

I channelled some witchy vibes for todays outfit!
The top is a recent op-shop acquisition, and something I can see myself getting a lot of wear from... well worth the $3.50 I spent on it! Thanks to the funky neckline it has that 90's-style quality that I absolutely love.

These Wrangler high-waisted skinny jeans are the best pair of jeans I've owned! They fit perfectly (which is a must for tight high-waisted jeans!), and being a cotton/polyester/elastane fabric blend they have enough stretch to be comfortable to wear. Definitely recommend them if you're after a new pair for this winter!

'Space Oddity' - Lazy Oaf

Monday 9 June 2014
Later this month Lazy Oaf will be launching their latest capsule collection entitled 'Space Oddity', and the teaser preview images they have been posting have got me very excited indeed!

Sneak peeks at a quirky cartoon-inspired print (a shining example of Lazy Oafs' signature colour-pop prints), technicolour fur, and holographic, iridescent fabrics hint at a collection that is set to be quirky, playful, and out-of-this-world... Here's a little look at what's to come!

(Check out that rad pom pom collar... Makes me feel inspired to get a little bit arty crafty and add pom poms onto anything and everything! :) )

What I Wore Today: 7th June '14

Saturday 7 June 2014

Today I jazzed-up a little black dress with some fun accessorising!

I'm wearing my favourite earrings, fluffy pom poms by I Made This The Label... Always seem to have these babies hanging from my ears! On a side note, the feel lovely and soft against your face when you wear a pair... definitely recommend them!

Also, I have an old Evil Twin favourite tied around my waist. When Evil Twin chose to use this yin-yang pattern a few years back I fell in love with it, and this jacket is one of my favourite printed garments that I own! I'm always keeping an eye out on eBay for Evil Twin yin-yang clothing it to add to my collection as I missed out on getting them when they were in stores.

Last but not least, my YRU Qozmo platforms. I finally gave in to temptation and bought them online in black last night, so I'm keenly awaiting the arrival of a new pair to add to my platform collection! :))
